The DIGITUS Unique Series freestanding rack DN-19 26U-8/8-1 is a 19" network cabinet with 26U capacity, 800 x 800 mm footprint and a maximum load rating suitable for medium to heavy IT installations. Constructed from up to 1.5 mm sheet steel and finished in grey (RAL 7035), this IP20-rated cabinet provides secure, modular storage for switches, servers and other rack-mount equipment. The cabinet includes lockable front and rear doors, removable side panels, adjustable 483 mm (19") profile rails with rack unit markings and a ventilated removable roof section designed for easy fan module installation.

Advantages

The cabinet offers flexible cable management with brush-equipped roof and floor inlets, a sliding cable entry with rubber sealing on the base and vertical cable channels (on 800 mm width models). Its modular, collapsible design allows complete dismantling for transport or installation, while reversible hinges and removable covers enhance accessibility. Durable electrostatic powder coating and galvanized 19" profile rails ensure long-term mechanical protection and clear rack unit labelling readable in both directions.

How to use

Place the freestanding rack on a level surface and secure it as required. Install equipment in the adjustable 19" profile rails, using the rack unit markings to position devices. Fit a fan module into the removable ventilated roof cover if additional airflow is needed. Lock front and rear doors after installation to secure the equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal operation, distribute load evenly across the rack, mount heavier equipment at the lower U positions, maintain unobstructed ventilation paths and use the provided cable seals and brushes to reduce dust ingress. Compliance with IP20 means the cabinet protects against solid objects but not against water—avoid placing the rack in wet environments.
