Boltsaks Knipex 61 01 200

The Knipex 61 01 200 bolt cutter pliers are compact, high-leverage cutting pliers designed for cutting a wide range of wires and small bolts. Constructed from vanadium electric steel that is forged and oil-hardened, these pliers offer durable performance and long service life. At 200 mm length and weighing 435 g, they balance portability with robust cutting capability. The plastic handles provide a comfortable grip while the induction-hardened cutting edges deliver precise cuts with a cutting edge hardness of approximately 64 HRC.

Advantages

These bolt cutters provide a higher cutting capacity and require less effort than conventional lever-assisted end cutting nippers, due to a high-leverage joint design. The induction-hardened cutting edges maintain sharpness and resist wear, enabling reliable cuts even on hard materials such as piano wire. Their compact size makes them easy to handle in confined spaces while still offering the power needed for demanding cutting tasks.

Suitable for

• Cutting soft and hard wire, including piano wire
• Trimming small bolts, nails, and pins
• Electrical and telecommunications wire work
• Workshop and maintenance tasks in confined spaces

Key specifications

• Material: vanadium electric steel, forged and oil-hardened
• Length: 200 mm
• Weight: approximately 435 g
• Cutting edge hardness: approx. 64 HRC (induction hardened)
• Handle type: plastic grips for comfortable handling
• Design: high-leverage joint for increased cutting capacity

How to use

Position the cutting edges around the wire or small bolt to be cut, ensuring the material sits close to the joint for optimal leverage. Squeeze the handles evenly with a steady motion until the material is severed. For thicker or harder wire such as piano wire, use steady, controlled pressure and inspect the cutting edges before use to ensure they are clean and undamaged. Store the pliers dry and apply light lubrication to the joint periodically to maintain smooth operation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves when cutting. Avoid cutting hardened or tempered materials beyond the tool's capacity to prevent damage to the cutting edges. For best results, cut close to the joint and keep the pliers clean and lightly lubricated.
