The BOYA BY-BA20 is a boom microphone stand designed for desk mounting, offering adjustable reach and a compact footprint. Its adjustable arm allows precise placement of the microphone relative to the sound source, and the black finish integrates unobtrusively into studio and home-office setups. The footprint and arm geometry are designed to optimize desk space while delivering consistent support for common broadcast and recording microphones.

Key specifications

• Mount type: Desk-mounted boom stand
• Arm type: Articulating adjustable arm
• Material and finish: Black exterior
• Footprint dimensions: approximately 550 mm width × 620 mm depth
• Compatibility: Designed for common handheld and studio microphones using standard thread mounts or clips

How to use

Position the BOYA BY-BA20 on a stable desk surface and ensure the base sits flat. Attach the microphone using the appropriate clip or threaded adapter, then loosen adjustment points to extend and angle the arm to the desired position. Tighten the adjustment points to secure the arm and perform a soundcheck to confirm the microphone placement and level. Make small positional adjustments to minimize handling noise and to align the microphone capsule with the primary sound source.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the stand on a sturdy desk and pair it with a shock mount or foam pop filter when recording vocals. Avoid over-tightening adjustment joints to prevent wear; periodically check fasteners to maintain secure positioning. Keep cables neatly routed along the arm to reduce strain on the microphone connection.
