Bosch 0 603 9D6 004 borehammer SDS Plus

The Bosch UniversalHammer 18V 1x4Ah is a cordless hammer drill designed to deliver mobility and consistent performance across a range of materials. Powered by an 18V lithium battery with 4Ah capacity, it offers extended runtime for repetitive tasks and allows work in locations without direct access to power. Built for general drilling and light hammering applications, the tool is suitable for both renovation projects and routine maintenance.

Advantages

The UniversalHammer provides a balance of power and portability through its 18V motor and 4Ah battery, enabling longer continuous operation without frequent recharging. Its cordless design increases flexibility on job sites and in homes, while ergonomic handling reduces user fatigue during extended use. The tool supports drilling into wood, metal and masonry, making it a multi-purpose solution for common construction and repair tasks.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in wood and metal for installation and assembly
• Light masonry drilling for anchors, plugs and small fixtures
• Home renovation and DIY projects requiring portable power
• Maintenance tasks where corded access is limited

Key specifications

• Power supply: 18V lithium battery
• Battery capacity: 4Ah for extended runtime
• Operation mode: drilling and hammer drilling
• Suitable materials: wood, metal, masonry
• Design: cordless, compact body for improved maneuverability

How to use

Charge the 18V battery fully before first use and insert it into the tool until it locks in position. Select the correct drill bit and attach it securely in the chuck following the manufacturer’s guidance. For wood and metal, choose the standard drilling mode and adjust speed as needed; for masonry, enable the hammer function and apply steady pressure without forcing the drill. Maintain a firm grip with both hands where possible and allow the tool to reach operating speed before contacting the work surface. After completing the task, switch off the tool, remove the battery and store both in a cool, dry place.

Recommendations

Use appropriate drill bits rated for the intended material and wear safety equipment such as eye protection and gloves. Avoid continuous heavy hammering beyond the tool’s intended light-duty range to prolong battery life and mechanical components. Keep ventilation slots clear and follow Bosch’s maintenance instructions for cleaning and battery care.
