How to use

Before installation, disconnect the chainsaw from the power source. Remove the guide bar cover and take off the old chain, noting the routing around the sprocket and bar groove. Fit the replacement chain onto the guide bar and engage the drive links into the sprocket, ensuring the cutting teeth point forward on the top of the bar. Reinstall the guide bar cover and adjust chain tension according to the chainsaw manufacturer's instructions so that the chain sits snugly in the bar groove but can still be turned by hand. After installation, inspect lubrication and perform a short test cut in scrap material to confirm correct installation and tension.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, hearing protection and protective clothing) and ensure the chain is kept sharp and lubricated with the correct bar and chain oil. Regularly inspect the chain for damage, replace if teeth are chipped or excessively worn, and follow Bosch maintenance guidelines for safe operation and prolonged service life.
