Bøsningsholder Cimco 140738

The Cimco 140738 socket carrier is manufactured from durable thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) in a grey finish. Designed to provide sealing and mechanical protection for electrical connectors, this socket carrier helps reduce wear and exposure to dust, moisture and mechanical stress in installation environments. Its resilient material and precise molding support consistent fit and long-term performance in professional electrical work.

Advantages

The TPE construction combines flexibility with toughness, offering impact and abrasion resistance while maintaining a secure seal around connector housings. The neutral grey color simplifies visual integration into panels and junction boxes. The part is dimensioned to allow reliable connector mating and protects contact areas from contaminants, contributing to extended service life of wiring terminations and plug connections.

Suitable for

• Mounting in electrical panels and junction boxes
• Industrial and commercial wiring installations
• Environments where dust and occasional moisture exposure occur
• Retrofit and maintenance tasks requiring connector protection

Key specifications

• Material: thermoplastic elastomer (TPE)
• Color: grey
• Function: socket carrier for connector sealing and protection
• Mechanical properties: flexible with abrasion and impact resistance
• Environmental resistance: designed for protection against dust and moisture ingress

How to use

Install the socket carrier by aligning it with the connector housing or panel cut-out, then press it into place until it seats securely. Ensure the connector mates fully through the carrier so that sealing surfaces engage correctly. For retrofit operations, remove any debris from the mounting area before fitting to preserve the sealing function. Verify correct fit visually and by testing the assembled connector for reliable electrical contact.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the socket carrier in environments within the operational temperature range of typical TPE materials and avoid prolonged exposure to aggressive chemicals or solvents. Periodically inspect the carrier for signs of wear, deformation or hardening and replace if sealing performance is compromised.
