Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 400 netværksdokumentscanner

The Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 400 is a dedicated network ADF scanner designed to simplify document capture and distribution across offices. It offers A4 scanning at up to 45 pages per minute, a 60-sheet automatic document feeder and a responsive 10.1" (25.7 cm) TFT touchscreen so users can scan directly to email, network folders, FTP, USB memory, fax or printers without additional software. The scanner supports duplex scanning and is built for up to 6,000 scans per day, making it suitable for both small office sharing and integration into larger corporate infrastructures.

Advantages

The ScanFront 400 combines a compact footprint with a durable feeding mechanism and ultrasonic double-feed detection to ensure reliable high-speed scanning. Its touchscreen interface and network capabilities remove the need for a dedicated PC at the scan point. Compatibility with uniFLOW and availability of an administration tool simplify central management, while the Business Solutions Developer Programme (BSDP) and SDK allow integration with custom workflows.

Suitable for

• Office departments requiring centralised or decentralised network scanning
• Retail, banking and healthcare customer-facing counters
• Small businesses needing a shared desktop scanner
• Workflows that require direct scanning to email, network folders or FTP

Recommendations

To maintain reliable feeding and image quality, use clean, unfolded paper and regularly remove dust from the ADF path. For high-volume environments, schedule periodic maintenance and use the ScanFront Administration Tool to monitor device status, back up configurations and manage users. Integrate with uniFLOW or custom applications via the SDK when centralised capture or advanced workflow integration is required.
