Canon RM1-4227-000 printer/scanner reservedel/tilbehør separationspad

The Canon RM1-4227-000 separation pad is a replacement part designed for Laser/LED printers to ensure reliable paper separation during pickup and feeding. This black-and-blue pad fits specific models and is intended to restore consistent single-sheet feeding, reduce misfeeds and lower the frequency of paper jams in devices that use a similar separation mechanism.

Advantages

This separation pad offers improved feeding reliability by maintaining consistent friction between the paper stack and the pickup roller. The pad's material and construction help reduce double feeds and misfeeds, which contributes to fewer interruptions and less manual intervention when printing. Its compact design allows straightforward installation without modifying the printer's paper path.

Suitable for

• Routine maintenance and repair of compatible Laser/LED printers
• Replacing worn or slippery separation pads to reduce paper jams
• Small office or home environments where reliable sheet feeding is required
• Service technicians performing component-level replacements

Key specifications

• Compatibility: designed for specific Laser/LED printer models that use this style of separation pad
• Color: black and blue
• Function: paper separation and single-sheet feed control
• Material: durable friction surface suitable for standard office papers
• Form factor: compact pad sized to fit designated paper feed trays or pickup assemblies

How to use

Power off the printer and open the paper tray or access panel to reach the pickup assembly. Remove the old separation pad by gently disengaging it from its mounting points, taking care not to damage adjacent components. Position the replacement pad in the same orientation as the original and press it into place until it seats securely. Close the access panel, reinstall the paper tray, and run a test print to confirm proper feeding. Consult the printer's service manual for model-specific disassembly and reassembly instructions.

Recommendations

Inspect the separation pad periodically as part of regular printer maintenance, especially if you notice increased misfeeds or double feeds. Replace the pad when surface wear, glazing, or loss of friction is evident. Use appropriate paper types and avoid damaged or curled sheets to extend pad life and maintain consistent feeding performance.
