Chieftec CBP-2131SAS drevskuffe bærepanel sort

The Chieftec CBP-2131SAS is a black carrier panel (backplane) that installs into two 5.25" bays and provides space for three 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives or SSDs. Constructed from high-quality aluminum, the unit supports SATA I/II/III and SAS I/II interfaces and includes SATA cables and a single cooling fan to help maintain airflow. Its compact dimensions are 146 mm (W) x 207 mm (D) x 86 mm (H) and the product weighs 1.09 kg.

Advantages

The CBP-2131SAS features a patented anti-vibration design that reduces drive movement and noise during operation. Its aluminum chassis offers structural durability while keeping the unit lightweight. Compatibility with both SATA and SAS standards ensures flexible use with a wide range of drives. Included SATA cables and an integrated fan simplify installation and help with thermal management.

Suitable for

• Expanding internal storage capacity in desktop or server chassis
• Systems requiring mixed 3.5" and 2.5" drive installations
• Environments needing vibration reduction for drive reliability

How to use

Install the CBP-2131SAS into two available 5.25" front bays of your chassis, secure the panel, and connect each drive to the backplane with the provided SATA cables or compatible SAS cabling where applicable. Attach power connectors from your PSU to each drive as required. Ensure the integrated fan has unobstructed airflow and that cabling does not interfere with drive insertion or cooling paths.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, mount drives firmly in the carrier panel, maintain good case airflow, and use appropriate host controllers or backplane connections that support SATA or SAS standards. Regularly monitor drive temperatures and vibration in high-density or heavy-duty use scenarios.
