Computerkabinet Gembird CCC-FORNAX-960B Midi Tower sort

The Gembird CCC-FORNAX-960B Midi Tower Black is a compact PC case compatible with ITX and micro ATX motherboards. Designed for small- to mid-size builds, it supports ATX and PS2 power supplies and offers a clear acrylic side window for component visibility. Cooling is provided by two 120 mm front fans and one 120 mm rear fan to maintain airflow in a constrained interior. The case dimensions are 185 mm (W) x 290 mm (D) x 350 mm (H), and its SPCC steel construction keeps overall weight low at 2.6 kg.

Advantages

The chassis balances compact footprint with practical expandability, offering dedicated mounting locations for two 3.5" drives and two 2.5" drives plus a single 5.25" bay for legacy optical or front-panel devices. Integrated front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports provide modern connectivity for external storage and peripherals. The included fan layout—two front and one rear 120 mm fans—improves airflow for CPU and GPU cooling in small form-factor systems. The acrylic side window allows easy inspection of internal components without removing panels.

How to use

Install a compatible ITX or micro ATX motherboard onto the standoffs provided inside the case, then mount an ATX or PS2 power supply in the designated compartment. Fit storage drives into the corresponding 3.5" or 2.5" bays and secure the single 5.25" device if required. Connect the front panel USB ports and power/reset switches to the motherboard headers following the motherboard manual. Ensure the two front 120 mm fans and the rear 120 mm fan are connected to the system fan headers or a fan controller to enable proper airflow management.

Recommendations

For optimal thermal performance, route cables to minimize airflow obstruction and maintain a clear path from the front intake fans to the rear exhaust fan. Use low-profile CPU coolers or shorter expansion cards if building with larger GPUs, and verify PSU length compatibility before final assembly. Regularly clean dust from fan blades and filters to preserve cooling efficiency.
