Computerkabinet SilverStone SST-RM61-312 rack-kabinet sort

The SilverStone SST-RM61-312 rack case is a 6U black enclosure engineered for compact rackmount systems. It provides a combination of internal volume and front access for component installation and maintenance. The design accommodates different motherboard form factors and multiple drive bays, while prioritizing airflow and cable routing to support continuous operation in server and professional workstation environments.

Advantages

The SST-RM61-312 offers a space-efficient 6U profile with a matte black finish suited to standard server racks. Its layout allows for straightforward component installation and service access without requiring extensive disassembly. The chassis is designed to promote effective cooling and organized cabling, which helps maintain component temperatures and reduces maintenance time in multi-drive or multi-card configurations.

Suitable for

• Small to medium rack-mounted servers
• Network appliances and firewall appliances
• Compact professional workstations in a rack
• Storage-focused builds with several drive bays

Key specifications

• Form factor: 6U rackmount chassis
• Finish: black exterior
• Internal layout: accommodates a variety of motherboard sizes
• Drive bays: multiple front-accessible bays for storage expansion
• Cooling: airflow-oriented design with space for fans and ventilation
• Front access: tool-friendly panels for installation and maintenance

How to use

Install the case into a compatible 19-inch rack using the provided mounting points and secure it at the required rack unit positions. Fit the chosen motherboard and power supply according to the chassis mounting locations, then attach drive units in the front-access bays. Route power and data cables through the available internal channels to keep airflow paths clear. Populate cooling fans as needed in the designated fan positions to achieve the desired temperature control for continuous operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the SST-RM61-312 in a ventilated rack environment with active airflow. Choose low-profile cooling solutions and stagger drive spin-up if using many hard drives to reduce inrush current. Regularly inspect cabling and ensure unobstructed vents to maintain optimal cooling performance.
