DIGITUS-patchkabel - CAT6 - S/FTP - Snagless - 10 m - sort

The DIGITUS Patch cord CAT 6 S/FTP 10m is a Category 6 network cable designed for reliable data transmission and compliance with ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 standards. The 10 m cable features an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath for improved fire behavior and reduced smoke emissions, copper conductors and transparent red RJ-45 plugs with metal shielding to identify Category 6 performance up to 250 MHz. The black cable with molded boots is suitable for connections in network cabinets and structured cabling and supports PoE+ applications.

Advantages

This CAT 6 S/FTP patch cord offers tested performance up to 250 MHz including NEXT characteristics, an LSZH jacket for better fire safety and low smoke, metal-shielded transparent red plugs for clear identification, molded boots with kink protection and strain relief, and copper conductors for stable signal transmission. The design includes latch protection to reduce the risk of broken latching levers.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, patch panels and network devices in cabinets
• Structured LAN cabling in offices and server rooms
• PoE and PoE+ powered devices such as access points and VoIP phones
• DSL/telephone system wiring and general Ethernet connections (RJ-45 to RJ-45)

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6 (Class E)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually shielded pairs)
• Frequency range: up to 250 MHz
• Conductor material: Copper (Cu)
• Length: 10 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, transparent red plug with metal shielding
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Color: Black (cable)
• Manufacturer MPN: DB-160144-100-S
• EAN: 4016032384076

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to a network device (switch, router, patch panel or endpoint) and the other RJ-45 plug to the corresponding port. Ensure the latch clicks into place and that the molded boot and kink protection are not excessively bent during installation. Route the cable through cable management channels or trays in network cabinets to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bending radii and excessive tensile force. Use in environments requiring low smoke emissions and compliance with CAT 6 channel specifications. Inspect connectors for secure latching and replace the cable if the shielding or jacket is damaged.
