DVI-A-til-VGA-adapter ACT AP1002

The ACT DVI-A to VGA Adapter AP1002 enables connection between a DVI-A output and a VGA display. It has a male DVI-A connector on one end and a female VGA connector on the other, allowing signal transfer from devices with analog DVI-A outputs to monitors, projectors or other VGA-equipped displays. The adapter is finished in black with gold-plated contacts to support reliable analog signal transmission and reduce corrosion over time.

Advantages

This adapter provides a straightforward, passive conversion for analog video signals without requiring external power or drivers. The compact form factor makes it easy to carry and integrate into existing setups. Gold-plated contact surfaces help maintain consistent signal quality by minimizing contact resistance and oxidation, and the sturdy housing improves durability during repeated connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting older computers or graphics cards with DVI-A outputs to VGA monitors
• Using legacy projectors or displays that accept only VGA input
• Temporary setups in classrooms, meeting rooms, or on-the-go presentations

Key specifications

• Connector 1: DVI-A (male)
• Connector 2: VGA (female)
• Color: Black housing with gold-plated contacts
• Function: Passive analog video signal adapter (DVI-A to VGA)
• Compatibility: Designed for analog DVI-A outputs and standard VGA displays

How to use

Insert the male DVI-A connector into the DVI-A output of your source device, ensuring the pins align correctly and the connector seats fully. Connect a VGA cable from your display to the VGA female connector on the adapter. Once connected, power on both devices and select the appropriate input on the display if necessary. No additional drivers or power supply are required for operation.

Recommendations

Use the adapter only with devices that provide an analog DVI-A signal; it does not convert digital DVI-I or DVI-D signals to VGA. To preserve contact quality, avoid excessive bending of connected cables and disconnect by holding the connector housing rather than pulling the cable. Store the adapter in a dry environment when not in use.
