Elektrokabinet Rittal KX 1554000

The Rittal KX 1554000 is a robust steel electrical enclosure designed for protection of electrical and electronic components in demanding environments. With an IP66 rating it provides full protection against dust ingress and strong water jets, while its compact footprint (200 mm width, 120 mm depth, 300 mm height) makes it suitable for installations with limited space. Constructed from corrosion-resistant steel and finished for long-term durability, this enclosure is intended for indoor and outdoor applications where a reliable protective housing is required.

Advantages

The enclosure combines a high protection class with a compact design, offering mechanical strength and environmental resistance in one unit. Its steel construction ensures impact resistance and dimensional stability, while the IP66 rating guarantees protection from dust and heavy washdown conditions. The small external dimensions allow flexible mounting on walls, panels, or machines without requiring large installation areas.

How to use

Select an installation location that provides proper support and access for wiring and maintenance. Prepare cable entries or glands compatible with the IP66 protection level, and install internal mounting plates or DIN rails as required for your components. Securely fasten the enclosure to the mounting surface using appropriate hardware and seal all cable penetrations to maintain the protective rating. Arrange internal components to allow ventilation where necessary and to avoid overheating of housed electronic devices.

Recommendations

For best long-term performance, verify compatibility of internal components with the enclosure’s internal space and mounting system, use appropriately rated cable glands and seals to preserve IP66 protection, and perform periodic inspections for damage or corrosion. When installing outdoors, ensure the enclosure is mounted in a way that prevents water pooling on or around the seals.
