Equip LC/LC glasfiber-patchkabel, OM5, 1,0 m

The Equip LC/LC Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM5, 1.0m is a duplex LC-to-LC patch cord with a 50 µm multimode OM5 core designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers and network installations. Manufactured with quality materials, the cable delivers consistent insertion loss, return loss, and controlled endface geometry for reliable optical connections in compact environments.

Advantages

This 1.0 m Fiber Optic Patch Cable offers full duplex connectivity with standardized LC connectors and an OM5 50 µm multimode core, providing compatibility with modern multimode transceivers and optimized performance for short-range high-bandwidth links. The cable construction and connector polishing reduce insertion and return loss, supporting stable signal transmission and durable operation in patching panels and equipment racks.

Suitable for

• Short-range connections in data centers
• Interconnects between switches, servers and patch panels
• High-density rack installations and telecom cabinets
• Multimode OM5 network links requiring duplex LC connectors

How to use

Align each LC connector with the corresponding LC port on your transceiver, switch or patch panel and insert until the connector latches audibly. Use the duplex clip to maintain polarity and ensure the correct transmit/receive orientation. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it within cable management hardware to prevent stress on the connectors and fiber.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean and inspect or clean them with appropriate fiber-optic cleaning tools before installation. Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius and use the 1.0 m length for short-distance patching to minimize excess slack.
