Fiberkabel Helos 1 m OS2 SC/SC

The Helos 1m OS2 SC/SC fibre optic cable is a single-mode patch lead designed for high-speed, long-distance data transmission. With a 9 µm core diameter and SC connectors on both ends, the cable supports full-duplex communication and is suitable for use in structured cabling, telecom and data centre interconnections. Its construction focuses on stable optical performance and durability for repeated connections and reliable signal integrity.

Advantages

This OS2 single-mode cable offers low attenuation and good tolerance to modal dispersion, making it suitable for long-reach links. The SC/SC connector pair provides simple push-pull insertion and secure mating, while the 1 m length keeps patching neat in rack and cabinet environments. The cable's consistent core diameter and connector polish ensure repeatable optical performance across connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices in data centres and server rooms
• Telecommunications links requiring single-mode fibre
• Patch panel to transceiver connections
• Laboratory testing and measurement setups

Key specifications

• Fibre type: single-mode OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 1 m
• Mode: full duplex
• Typical use: indoor patching in telecom and data centre environments

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before use and clean if necessary using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Plug the SC connectors into matching SC adapters or transceiver ports until they click into place, observing correct orientation for full-duplex links. Route the 1 m cable without sharp bends; maintain bend radius recommended for single-mode fibre to avoid increased attenuation. When disconnecting, pull using the connector body rather than the cable jacket to avoid strain on the fiber.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this single-mode OS2 SC/SC cable with compatible OS2 equipment and follow standard fibre handling practices: keep connectors capped when not in use, clean endfaces before mating, and avoid tight bends or tensile stress. Choose this 1 m length for tidy patching inside racks and short interconnect runs.
