Fiberkabel ROLINE 21.15.9263 3 m LC violet

The ROLINE 21.15.9263 3 m LC Violet is an OM4 multimode fibre optic cable with LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for short- to medium-reach high-speed links, this violet-coloured cable supports reliable data transmission with low attenuation and is suitable for demanding networking environments such as data centres, server rooms and enterprise backbone installations. The 3 m length provides a practical balance between reach and cable management in rack-to-rack and patch-panel connections.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre optic cable offers enhanced bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling higher data rates and extended reach for multimode applications. The LC duplex connectors provide stable physical connections with a compact footprint suitable for high-density panels. The 50 µm core minimises modal dispersion for improved signal integrity over typical multimode link distances. The violet jacket colour helps with fast visual identification and organised cable routing in complex installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and top-of-rack to aggregator links
• High-speed enterprise LAN backbone and server-to-switch connections
• Patch panel terminations and fibre patching in communications rooms
• Short- to medium-distance multimode fibre links (OM4)

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode fibre
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC (duplex)
• Length: 3 m
• Jacket colour: violet
• Typical use: multimode high-bandwidth applications

How to use

Route the cable between the two intended transceivers or patch-panel ports, taking care to avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling forces. Insert the LC connectors into the compatible LC ports, ensuring each connector latches securely. Maintain proper bend radius during installation and secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain. Verify correct link operation using suitable diagnostic equipment or the network devices' link indicators.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment to avoid contamination of connector endfaces. Clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools before mating. For optimal performance, follow industry-standard bend-radius guidelines and avoid routing near strong electromagnetic interference sources. Use labelled patching and consistent colour-coding practices where violet indicates OM4 multimode links.
