Forbindelsesenhed MetzConnect REGplus IP20 E-DAT-modul kobling 180

The MetzConnect REGplus Connection Unit IP20 E‑DAT module Coupling 180 is a modular interface designed for structured cabling in residential and commercial installations. It provides a protected IP20 housing for E‑DAT modules and a 180° coupling mechanism to link module ports directly, enabling neat integration of network, audio/video and communication connections into distribution panels or wall outlets.

Advantages

This connection unit offers a compact, modular solution for consolidating E‑DAT connections within a protected IP20 enclosure. The 180° coupling simplifies the physical joining of compatible modules, reducing installation complexity. Engineered for structured cabling, it supports tidy cable management and consistent alignment with other REGplus components, improving maintainability of distribution points.

Suitable for

• Residential and commercial structured cabling installations
• Network distribution panels and patching points
• Audio/video signal routing and device linking
• Communication sockets and modular outlet assemblies

When it may not be suitable

This unit is rated to IP20 and therefore is intended for indoor installations in dry, protected environments. It is not suitable for outdoor use or areas exposed to water, dust ingress beyond IP20 protection, or environments requiring higher mechanical or environmental sealing. The module supports E‑DAT interface types; it may not be compatible with non‑E‑DAT proprietary connectors without adapters.

Key specifications

• Protection rating: IP20 for indoor, dry environments
• Module type: E‑DAT modular interface
• Coupling orientation: 180° coupling for direct module-to-module connection
• Installation: designed for REGplus modular systems and structured cabling panels
• Application areas: network, audio/video and communication cabling

How to use

Mount the connection unit within an appropriate REGplus frame or distribution panel following standard installation practices for structured cabling. Insert compatible E‑DAT modules into the unit and align the 180° coupling to join adjacent modules as required. Route, terminate and secure cables according to cabling standards and local regulations, ensure connectors are fully seated and check continuity and signal integrity after installation.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended installation environment must be dry and indoors matching IP20 protection
• Confirm compatibility with existing REGplus frames and E‑DAT modules
• Verify that a 180° coupling orientation meets your physical layout and cabling needs
• Ensure required cable types and connectors are supported by the E‑DAT modules you plan to install

Recommendations

Use the connection unit as part of a complete REGplus modular system to maintain consistent module alignment and easy service access. Perform testing of network or audio/video links after installation and keep documentation of module positions for future maintenance.
