Glasfiber-jumperkabel VALUE 21.99.8760

VALUE Fibre Optic Jumper Cable 21.99.8760 is a 0.5 m multimode patch cord with 50/125 µm OM4 fiber and LC to SC connectors. Designed for current 1 and 10 Gbit/s networks and compatible with future 40 and 100 Gbit/s systems, the cable supports extended reach and reliable high-speed transmission. The cable’s purple jacket provides easy identification in dense cabling environments.

Advantages

The OM4 fiber offers a high laser bandwidth of 4700 MHz·km, exceeding IEEE requirements for 10 Gbit/s over 300 m and allowing extended reach up to approximately 550 m at 10 Gbit/s. The LC–SC connector combination ensures widespread compatibility with network devices and patch panels. Its 50/125 µm core/cladding geometry is suitable for typical data center and campus backbone scenarios.

Suitable for

• Data center patching and short-reach interconnects
• Building and campus backbone links
• High-performance computing clusters and server connections
• Upgrading existing 1/10 Gbit/s networks with future-proof OM4 cabling

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean if necessary using appropriate fiber cleaning tools. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC adapter or device port, ensuring secure seating without excessive force. Route the jumper to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for multimode fiber. Verify link functionality with appropriate test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the jumper in a dust-free environment, use protective caps when not connected, and avoid repeated flexing. For optimal performance in data centers, combine OM4 jumpers with OM4-compliant equipment and maintain proper cable management to preserve signal integrity.
