GREENBLUE Tuya Zigbee bevægelsessensor GB740

Motion detection is the first line of defense in a smart home, but many sensors are either too complex to set up or too limited in their compatibility. The GREENBLUE Tuya Zigbee Motion Sensor GB740 solves this by offering a simple, battery-powered PIR sensor that works seamlessly with the Tuya ecosystem. It detects movement within a 120° field up to 7 meters away, triggering instant alerts and automations through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Whether you want to turn on lights when someone enters a room, receive a notification when unexpected movement occurs, or integrate with other Zigbee devices, this sensor delivers reliable performance without the need for a proprietary hub—just a compatible Zigbee gateway.

Who is it for

This motion sensor is ideal for homeowners and renters who want to enhance their smart home security and automation without complex wiring or expensive professional installation. It's perfect for anyone already using Tuya-compatible devices, as it integrates directly into existing scenes and routines. It's also a great choice for DIY enthusiasts who want a low-maintenance sensor with long battery life and flexible mounting options.

Tips

For best results, mount the sensor at a height of about 2 meters, angled slightly downward to cover the desired area. Avoid placing it near heat sources, air vents, or direct sunlight, as these can cause false triggers. If you're using it for security, create a Tuya scene that sends a notification and turns on a siren or smart light when motion is detected while you're away. Remember to check the battery level periodically in the app, and replace the CR2450 battery when you receive a low battery alert.
