Hama 00200341 kabeladapter VGA (D-Sub) DVI-I sort

The Hama 00200341 Cable Gender Changer adapts a VGA (D-Sub) connection to a DVI-I interface for transferring analogue video signals between a PC or notebook and a monitor, TV or projector. The adapter supports DVI-I dual link (24 + 5 pins) and comes in a durable black housing, making it suitable for connecting older VGA-equipped computers to displays or projectors with DVI-I inputs.

Advantages

This gender changer provides a simple passive conversion from VGA (D-Sub) to DVI-I, preserving analogue video signals without requiring external power. Its compact and robust black design ensures easy handling and reliable mechanical connection. The DVI-I dual link connector offers compatibility with a wide range of DVI-I display inputs.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC or notebook with VGA output to a monitor with DVI-I input
• Connecting VGA-equipped projectors to devices with DVI-I ports
• Adapting legacy VGA devices for use with DVI-I displays in offices or classrooms

Key specifications

• Connector 1: VGA (D-Sub)
• Connector 2: DVI-I (dual link, 24 + 5 pins)
• Product colour: Black

How to use

Insert the VGA (D-Sub) plug from the source device (PC or notebook) into the VGA side of the gender changer and secure the connector screws. Plug the DVI-I end into the display, TV or projector and fasten its screws if present. Select the correct input on the display device. Because this is a passive adapter handling analogue signals, no driver installation or external power is required.

Recommendations

Use this adapter only where the DVI-I input accepts analogue VGA signals; if the display accepts only digital DVI-D signals, image transmission will not work. For best results, ensure secure screw connections and use short cable runs to minimise signal degradation.
