HDMI-adapter Type-A M/F Lindy 41232

This HDMI adapter blocks HDMI CEC signals to resolve incompatibilities between devices in AV setups. It is intended for use where IR remote controls or CEC-driven controls interfere due to connections involving HDMI splitters or switches.

Advantages

The adapter prevents CEC commands from passing beyond the connection point, eliminating cross-device control conflicts. It is simple to install and can be placed upstream of the device or devices causing the incompatibility. Multiple adapters may be used in different upstream locations when several devices require isolation.

Key specifications

• Function: Blocks HDMI CEC signals
• Application: Use with HDMI splitters and switches to prevent IR/CEC interference
• Placement: Installed upstream of incompatible device(s)
• Compatibility: Works in setups where CEC causes cross-device control issues

How to use

Connect the adapter inline with the HDMI cable upstream of the device that causes the CEC or IR remote incompatibility. The adapter stops the CEC signal from being forwarded, while standard HDMI video and audio continue to pass through. If multiple devices produce conflicts, install additional adapters upstream of each problematic device.

Recommendations

Use the adapter when you observe unintended control actions between devices connected via HDMI splitters or switches. Verify the correct upstream placement by testing remote control behavior after installation.
