HDMI-Type-A-adapter ShiverPeaks BS77414

The ShiverPeaks BS77414 Cable Gender Changer HDMI Type A provides a compact solution for reversing HDMI Type A connector gender where direct connection is required. The adapter combines an HDMI-D (female) and HDMI-C (female) interface with gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable signal transfer and reduce oxidation over time. Its black housing is designed for common home and professional AV environments and supports standard HDMI connections without altering cable routing significantly.

Advantages

This HDMI Type A gender changer offers corrosion-resistant gold-plated contacts to support consistent signal quality and reduce contact wear. The compact form factor minimizes space usage behind equipment and helps maintain tidy cable runs. Solid construction and a neutral black finish allow the adapter to integrate unobtrusively with televisions, monitors, set-top boxes, and other HDMI devices.

Suitable for

• Converting male-to-male HDMI connections where connector orientation or gender prevents direct mating
• Connecting HDMI cables in tight spaces behind TVs, AV receivers, or computer monitors
• Temporary or permanent setups where a compact gender changer is needed to adapt existing HDMI cables

Key specifications

• Connector types: HDMI Type A (female) to HDMI Type A (female)
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Housing color: black
• Form factor: compact inline gender changer adapter

How to use

Align the HDMI male plug of one cable with one side of the gender changer and push gently until fully seated. Insert the second HDMI male plug into the opposite side in the same manner. Ensure both connections are firm and that cables are routed without excessive bending near the connector to avoid strain. The adapter is passive and requires no power or software; once connected it simply links the two HDMI cables.

Recommendations

Use the gender changer for short extensions or orientation corrections rather than as a replacement for a single continuous HDMI cable. Avoid placing heavy strain or frequent twisting on the adapter; secure nearby cables to reduce movement and prolong contact integrity.
