The package includes a key for locking and unlocking.

Advantages

The security lock combines a robust zinc steel construction and a thick 4.4 mm cable to offer reliable physical protection against opportunistic theft. How to use

Loop the cable around a fixed anchor point (for example a heavy desk leg or a secure fixture) and insert the locking end into the notebook’s security slot or the appropriate anchor point on the device. Insert the supplied key into the lock cylinder and turn to secure the cable. To remove, insert the key and turn in the opposite direction to release the lock, then detach the cable from the anchor point.

Recommendations

Use the lock as a theft deterrent and an additional physical security measure; it does not make devices tamper-proof. Choose a fixed anchor point that cannot be easily removed, and retain spare keys in a secure location. Inspect the cable and lock periodically for wear or damage and replace the lock if any structural compromise is found.
