InLine patchkabel SF/UTP Cat.5e grå 0,5 m

The InLine Patch Cable SF/UTP Cat.5e grey 0.5m is a short network patch cable designed for connecting devices with RJ45 ports, such as switches, routers, patch panels, sockets and network cards. It supports Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbit/s) operation up to a maximum frequency of 125 MHz and uses SF/UTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

The SF/UTP Cat.5e construction provides improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cable while maintaining compatibility with standard RJ45 ports. Its 0.5 m length is suitable for short connections in patch panels or between nearby networking equipment. Grey colour and standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends ensure straightforward installation and a neutral appearance in server rooms or office environments.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Short patch connections between switches, patch panels and routers
• Connecting network sockets to wall-mounted equipment
• Linking network cards to nearby switches or routers
• Use in rack or desktop installations where a short cable is required

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.5e
• Shielding: SF/UTP
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 — RJ-45
• Data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Frequency: up to 125 MHz
• Colour: Grey
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the respective network port on your devices (for example, a switch and a patch panel or a router and a network card). Ensure connectors click into place for a secure connection. Use the 0.5 m cable for short-distance links to avoid excess slack; route the cable to prevent sharp bends and avoid running alongside strong power sources to minimise interference.

Recommendations

For reliable Gigabit performance, verify that connected devices and intermediate patch panels or sockets support 1000Base-T. Avoid repeated tight bending near the connectors and keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines to preserve shielding effectiveness.
