Intercomkit Fanvil VIK-01 – lyd- og video-2-tråds intercom

Fanvil VIK-01 — audio and video 2-wire intercom kit provides combined voice and image communication over a simple two-wire connection for door entry and access control. The kit integrates an outdoor station with camera and a compatible indoor monitor or control unit to enable remote monitoring, two-way conversation with visitors and electronic door release. The system is designed for environments where running full IP cabling is impractical, offering a compact solution for residential entrances, small apartment blocks and small commercial premises.

Advantages

The intercom kit supports audio and video transmission on a two-wire line, reducing installation complexity and avoiding the need for separate network cabling. Video capability allows visual identification of visitors while two-way audio ensures clear communication. The kit is compatible with standard door release hardware and provides a reliable, space-efficient alternative to larger multi-wire or full-IP systems. Components are designed for straightforward mounting and integration with existing door locking mechanisms.

Suitable for

• Residential front doors and apartment entryways
• Small office entrances and reception areas
• Renovation projects where existing two-wire cabling is retained
• Sites requiring remote audio/video monitoring and door release

Key specifications

• Two-wire audio and video transmission for simplified wiring
• Integrated camera for visitor video monitoring
• Two-way voice communication with noise-reduction features
• Support for electric door release integration
• Compact outdoor station suitable for wall mounting
• Powering and signal over the same two-wire line (where applicable)

How to use

Connect the outdoor station to the indoor monitor or control unit using the provided two-wire cable following the manufacturer wiring diagram. Mount the outdoor station at eye level near the primary entrance and secure the indoor unit within the premises where calls and video can be monitored. Configure the system so that incoming calls trigger audio and video on the indoor monitor, enabling the occupant to converse with the visitor and operate the connected door release from the indoor unit. Verify proper power delivery and test the door release function during installation.

Recommendations

Install the outdoor unit in a sheltered position to protect the camera and electronics from direct weather exposure. Use quality two-wire cable of appropriate gauge for the specified installation distance and follow local electrical and building codes when connecting door release hardware. Periodically clean the camera lens and verify connections to maintain clear video and reliable operation.
