Kabel-Gender-Changer EFB Elektronik EB914

Cable gender changer EFB Elektronik EB914 is an adapter that converts between a 9‑pin D‑Sub (DB9) and a 25‑pin D‑Sub (DB25) connector. The beige inline adapter allows reversing the gender of D‑Sub cables and can also be used to join two compatible cables directly, providing a compact solution for changing connector types in serial and parallel equipment setups.

Advantages

The EB914 supports straightforward gender conversion between D‑Sub 9 and D‑Sub 25 connectors without the need for additional tools. Its compact, passive design requires no power and provides a simple mechanical connection. The neutral beige color blends with common office and industrial cabling.

Suitable for

• Connecting devices with D‑Sub 9 (DB9) to devices or cables with D‑Sub 25 (DB25)
• Extending or joining two D‑Sub cables where gender conversion is needed
• Legacy serial (RS‑232) and parallel interface connections in equipment and test setups

How to use

Align the D‑Sub 9 and D‑Sub 25 connectors with the corresponding cable ends and insert firmly until the connector shells mate. To join two cables, plug each cable into the appropriate side of the adapter so that the pins and sockets match.

Recommendations

Use the EB914 only with compatible D‑Sub cables and devices; avoid forcing mismatched connectors. For reliable signal transmission, keep cable lengths within recommended limits for the specific interface (for example, RS‑232) and ensure connectors are free of dust and damage before use.
