Kabel-Gender-Changer ShiverPeaks BS94036

The ShiverPeaks BS94036 is a cable gender changer designed to adapt a SCART connection to three RCA plugs and a Mini-DIN output. Finished in black, this adapter provides a compact and practical way to connect devices that use SCART to equipment with RCA audio/video inputs and Mini-DIN ports. It supports standard analog audio and composite video signals, enabling interoperability between older AV sources and displays or recorders that accept RCA or Mini-DIN connections.

Advantages

This gender changer offers a simple, passive conversion without the need for external power or complicated setup. Its compact housing and fixed cable simplify installation behind media cabinets or near AV equipment, while the combination of SCART, RCA and Mini-DIN interfaces reduces the need for multiple separate cables and adapters. The product's black finish blends unobtrusively with most AV setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy SCART-equipped DVD players, set-top boxes or game consoles to TVs or recorders with RCA inputs
• Adapting SCART outputs to devices that accept Mini-DIN video/audio connections
• Temporary or semi-permanent installations in home entertainment systems where analog composite video and stereo audio are required

Key specifications

• Input: SCART female
• Outputs: 3× RCA connectors (composite video, left and right audio) and 1× Mini-DIN connector
• Cable colour: black
• Signal type: analog composite video and stereo analog audio
• Connection type: passive electrical adapter (no active signal conversion)

How to use

Locate the SCART output on the source device and insert the SCART end of the adapter firmly. Connect the RCA plugs to the corresponding video (usually yellow) and audio (red/white) inputs on the target device, and plug the Mini-DIN connector if required by the receiving equipment. Ensure devices are powered off when making connections to avoid signal spikes. After all connections are secure, power the devices and select the appropriate input on the display or recorder to view or capture the incoming signal.

Recommendations

Use short runs and avoid tight bends to preserve signal quality; for long-distance runs or digital conversions, consider active converters or signal boosters. Verify pinouts if using with non-standard equipment to ensure correct audio/video mapping.
