Kabeladapter XLR 3-polet Omnitronic 30226572

The Omnitronic 30226572 Cable Gender Changer XLR 3pin is a compact silver adapter designed to convert XLR connections between devices with differing XLR gender configurations. It provides a simple mechanical solution when an XLR cable or device connector does not match the mating connector, allowing existing cables and equipment to be used without rewiring or replacing connectors. The unit is intended for use in audio and A/V setups where a quick gender change is required.

Advantages

This gender changer features a robust metal housing and standard 3‑pin XLR contacts that maintain reliable signal continuity while minimizing handling noise. Its small footprint and light weight make it easy to carry in a tool bag or attach temporarily in live sound, studio, or broadcast environments. The silver finish offers a neutral appearance that blends with most audio equipment.

How to use

Insert the XLR plug of the cable or device into the appropriate side of the gender changer and connect the opposite side to the mating XLR jack. Ensure connectors are fully engaged until any locking latch clicks to avoid accidental disconnection. The adapter does not require power or configuration and can remain in-line during operation. Inspect contacts periodically for corrosion or debris and replace the adapter if mechanical wear affects locking or contact integrity.

Recommendations

Use the adapter as a temporary or semi-permanent solution; avoid applying excessive strain to connected cables and secure cabling to prevent stress on the adapter. For critical or permanent installations, consider using permanently reterminated cables or installing matching panel connectors.
