Knipex ErgoStrip universal afisoleringsværktøj – til højrehåndede, rød/blå (16 95 01 SB)

The cable stripper is designed for fast and precise dismantling and stripping of common round and damp-proof installation cables (for example NYM cables from 3 x 1.5 mm² up to 5 x 2.5 mm²), as well as data cables (such as twisted pair) and coaxial cables. It features an ergonomic pistol-grip form that facilitates cutting, sheath stripping and longitudinal sheath cutting, with conical, slimmed-down tool ends for access in confined spaces. The tool housing is made from glass fibre reinforced plastic and includes a multi-component handle with a soft plastic zone for a secure and comfortable grip.

Advantages

The device provides multiple strip diameters (0.2 / 0.3 / 0.8 / 1.5 / 2.5 / 4 mm²) and simplified insertion of single wires for stripping using location ridges. An opening spring and locking device increase handling convenience and safety. An opening aid eases insertion of coax and data cables. The slim tool tips improve access in tight areas while the pistol-grip design reduces effort during cutting and longitudinal sheath cuts.

Suitable for

• Stripping and dismantling NYM installation cables (3 x 1.5 mm² up to 5 x 2.5 mm²)
• Preparing twisted pair and other data cables
• Working with coaxial cables
• Accessing and working in confined or crowded installation spaces

Key specifications

• Stripping cross-sections: 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.8 / 1.5 / 2.5 / 4 mm²
• Suitable cable types: round and damp-proof installation cables, data cables (twisted pair), coaxial cable
• Design: ergonomic pistol-grip, conical slimmed-down ends
• Handle: multi-component with soft plastic zone for grip comfort
• Housing: glass fibre reinforced plastic
• Additional features: opening spring, locking device, opening aid for coax/data cable insertion, location ridges for single-wire insertion

How to use

Select the appropriate stripping slot for the conductor cross-section, insert the conductor or cable into the corresponding opening and use the pistol-grip motion to close and rotate or pull as required for longitudinal sheath cutting and insulation removal. Use the location ridges to position single wires for precise stripping. For coax or data cables, use the opening aid to ease insertion before performing the strip. Release the locking device when finished and allow the opening spring to return the tool to the open position.

Recommendations

Use the tool only on the cable types and cross-sections specified. Inspect blades and housing for damage before use, and replace the tool if any structural damage is found. Work with appropriate personal protective equipment and follow local safety regulations when performing cable preparation.
