Krympeflex DeLOCK 18980 sort 2 m 8 mm

The DeLOCK 18980 heat shrink tube is a 2 meter long polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 8 mm and black colour. It is designed to insulate and protect cables, wires and electrical connections by shrinking tightly around them when heat is applied, improving mechanical protection and resistance to environmental effects.

Advantages

This heat shrink tube provides reliable insulation and mechanical protection for exposed wires and joints. Made from polyolefin, it offers good dimensional stability and a consistent shrink ratio to ensure a snug fit. The 2 m length and 8 mm diameter make it suitable for a range of small wiring tasks while the black colour blends with common cable sheaths.

Suitable for

• Insulating and protecting single cables and wire splices
• Repairing damaged cable sheaths
• Electrical and electronic hobby projects
• Automotive wiring repairs and harness protection

Key specifications

How to use

Slide a suitable length of the heat shrink tube over the cable or splice so it fully covers the area to be insulated. Apply heat evenly using a heat gun, hot air tool or another controlled heat source until the sleeve has shrunk tightly around the cable and conforms to its shape. Allow the sleeve to cool and verify the fit and insulation before putting the cable into service.

Recommendations

Use a regulated heat gun or hot air tool at appropriate temperature for polyolefin material to avoid overheating. Ensure the tube diameter matches the cable before shrinking and keep away from open flames. For outdoor or harsh-environment applications, consider additional sealing or adhesive-lined variants if higher moisture protection is required.
