KS TOOLS 1/4 inch bit-adapter-topnøgle (911.4337)

In a busy automotive workshop, a technician reaches for the KS TOOLS 1/4" Bit Adapter Socket to quickly switch between a ratchet and a standard hex bit. This compact adapter converts a 1/4" square drive into a 1/4" hex bit holder, enabling the use of common screwdriver bits with hand-operated tools, ratchets, and torque wrenches. Its 25 mm length keeps it unobtrusive in tight spaces, while the chrome vanadium steel construction ensures durability for daily professional use.

• Output drive: 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex for standard bits
• Total length: 25 mm
• Material: Chrome vanadium steel
• Surface finish: Matt chrome plated, corrosion resistant
• Colour: Silver
• Magnetic: No
• Number of pieces: 1

Why choose it

This adapter is built to withstand the rigours of professional environments. The chrome vanadium steel provides high strength and resistance to wear, while the matt chrome plating protects against corrosion. Its adherence to DIN 3120 / ISO 1174 ensures a precise fit with standard 1/4" square drives, reducing the risk of slippage and damage to fasteners. The compact design allows access to recessed screws and bolts where a full-size socket would not fit.

Ideal use cases

• Automotive repair: driving hex bits with a 1/4" ratchet
• Assembly work: using torque wrenches with hex bits for precise fastening
• Maintenance tasks: converting existing 1/4" square drive tools to accept hex bits
• DIY projects: expanding the versatility of a socket set

Good to know

The adapter is not magnetic, so it relies on the bit's own retention mechanism (e.g., spring clip or ball detent) to hold the bit in place. It is designed for hand-operated tools only and should not be used with impact wrenches. The product comes as a single piece, and its silver finish matches most professional tool sets.
