KWB 240400 borsæt

The KWB 240400 drill bit set includes four SDS Plus shank bits designed for use with rotary hammers. Each bit features a self-centring drill point and high-temperature brazed construction with multiple spirals to optimise waste removal while minimising friction, heat build-up and vibration. The bits conform to standards of the German Institute of Building Technology and are certified by the German Masonry Drill Testing Association (PGM). Packaged in a polybag with a hanging hole for convenient storage.

Advantages

High-temperature brazing and multiple-spiral flutes provide improved chip evacuation and reduced friction. The self-centring tip enables accurate starting and less wandering during drilling. SDS Plus shanks ensure secure tool engagement and compatibility with standard rotary hammers. Certification by PGM and conformity with German building-technology standards confirm consistent manufacturing and performance.

How to use

Select the appropriate drill bit size for the hole required and insert the SDS Plus shank into the rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Use right-hand rotation and apply steady pressure while keeping the drill perpendicular to the work surface. Allow the tool and bit to clear debris periodically to maintain cutting efficiency and avoid overheating. Replace the bit if the tip becomes worn or damaged.

Recommendations

For best results use with a compatible SDS Plus rotary hammer, employ correct PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) and work at moderate feed rates to prevent excessive heat. Inspect bits before use and avoid side loads that can cause premature wear or breakage.
