Laptop-dock OWC OWCTCDK6P2SG

The OWC USB-C Travel Dock E (model OWCTCDK6P2SG) is a compact 6-port USB-C travel hub designed to expand connectivity for laptops, tablets, and phones equipped with USB-C or Thunderbolt 3. It combines USB 3 Type-A, HDMI 2.0 (4K capable), an SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet with RJ-45, and a USB-C power delivery port in a puck-sized, bus-powered enclosure that can also accept external USB-C power up to 100 W.

Advantages

This travel dock provides reliable wired network access via Gigabit Ethernet for faster, more stable connections than typical Wi‑Fi. It supports high-speed data transfer on USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and 4K video output over HDMI 2.0 while offering power delivery passthrough so you can charge your host device while using the hub. The integrated USB-C cable keeps the design compact and portable without sacrificing desktop-class functionality.

Suitable for

• Mobile professionals who need stable wired network access and multiple ports while traveling
• Students and instructors connecting to classroom displays, storage, or networks
• Content creators requiring 4K HDMI output and SD card import on-the-go
• Office or home users who want to add Ethernet and extra USB ports to USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 devices

How to use

Connect the Travel Dock E to a compatible computer, tablet, or phone using the integrated USB-C cable. For wired network access, plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 port. Connect external displays via the HDMI 2.0 port and insert SD cards into the card reader to import media. If additional power is required, attach a USB-C power adapter to the power delivery port to simultaneously charge the host device (up to 100 W) while using the hub. Use bus power when an external adapter is not available; some connected devices or displays may require external power to operate fully.

Recommendations

For reliable 4K output and uninterrupted network transfers, use a high-quality HDMI cable and a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. To ensure safe removal of external storage devices, use OWC Dock Ejector or the host operating system’s eject function before disconnecting the dock.
