Loftmonteret PIR-bevægelsessensor Renkforce 1289331 360° relæ IP20

The Renkforce ceiling mounted PIR motion sensor provides 360° passive infrared detection designed for ceiling installation. With an integrated relay and IP20 protection class, this sensor detects human presence in indoor rooms, corridors and stairwells to enable automatic lighting control or alarm activation. Its omnidirectional sensing pattern is intended to cover central locations mounted on ceilings, minimizing dead zones and offering straightforward integration with lighting circuits or control systems.

Advantages

The sensor offers full 360° coverage from a ceiling position, allowing reliable presence detection around the installation point. A built-in relay simplifies electrical connection to lighting or alarm circuits without the need for separate switching modules. IP20 protection makes it suitable for dry indoor environments such as offices, hallways and staircases. Passive infrared technology operates without active emission, using motion heat signatures to trigger switching while maintaining low power consumption in standby.

Suitable for

• Indoor rooms where ceiling mounting with omnidirectional detection is required
• Corridors and hallways for automatic lighting control
• Stairwells and landings to enable presence-controlled illumination
• Integration with basic alarm or building control systems requiring relay output

Key specifications

• Detection pattern: 360° omnidirectional coverage from ceiling mount
• Sensing technology: Passive infrared (PIR)
• Output: Built-in switching relay for direct control of lighting or alarms
• Protection class: IP20 for indoor, dry environment installation
• Mounting: Ceiling-mounted design for central overhead installation

How to use

Mount the sensor centrally on the ceiling of the room or corridor to achieve optimal 360° coverage. Connect the sensor's relay output to the lighting or alarm circuit following local electrical codes and safety practices; ensure power is turned off during installation. Adjust the sensor position so the field of view is not obstructed by structural elements. After wiring and mounting, restore power and allow the sensor a short warm-up period before testing detection and relay operation by walking through the coverage area.

Recommendations

Place the sensor at a recommended ceiling height appropriate for the room type to balance sensitivity and coverage; avoid aiming directly at HVAC outlets or large heat sources. Use for indoor, dry locations consistent with IP20 protection. For integration with more advanced control systems, use the relay as a switching input to a controller or contactor rather than as the final protective switching device where required by local regulations.
