Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Mini CPU-luftkøler – 120 mm, farve: Sort (Peerless Assassin 120 MINI BK)

The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 MINI is a compact air cooler designed for small and mid-size PC builds where space is limited but reliable thermal performance is required. It features a 12 cm fan that reaches up to 1500 RPM, providing targeted airflow and moderate static pressure for effective heat dissipation. The cooler uses Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) technology to extend fan lifespan and reduce operational noise, while its matte black finish integrates unobtrusively into most system color schemes.

Advantages

The Peerless Assassin 120 MINI combines a compact form factor with a balance of airflow and pressure suitable for everyday and gaming workloads. FDB fan construction improves durability and reduces bearing noise compared with sleeve bearings. Its 12 cm fan delivers up to 66.87 CFM airflow and 1.53 mmH2O air pressure, enabling efficient heat transfer from the heatsink to the case airflow. The cooler's understated black design helps maintain a cohesive interior aesthetic without adding bulk.

Suitable for

• Small form factor desktops and compact ATX builds
• Home and office PCs with moderate CPU thermal loads
• Silent-focused systems where low fan noise is important
• Upgrades replacing stock coolers for improved thermal performance

How to use

Install the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 MINI onto the CPU socket according to the motherboard and cooler mounting instructions provided by the manufacturer. Apply an appropriate amount of thermal paste to the CPU heatspreader before seating the cooler to ensure optimal thermal transfer. Connect the fan cable to the CPU fan header or a suitable fan controller and configure fan speed behavior in the system BIOS or software to balance cooling and noise. Ensure there is adequate clearance for RAM modules and case panels during installation.

Recommendations

For best results, use a thin, even layer of high-quality thermal paste and periodically check the mounting tension and fan for dust buildup. Configure fan curve settings to increase RPM under sustained loads while keeping idle noise low. Verify compatibility with your case and RAM height before purchase to avoid clearance issues.
