Lydinterface Silverstone EB01-E sølv

The SilverStone EB01-E Silver is a compact high-quality USB DAC and audio interface that converts digital audio from computers and other sources into analog output. It supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz sample rates and offers three digital inputs — USB Type-B, optical (Toslink) and coaxial (RCA) — plus an RCA analog output for connection to an amplifier or powered speakers. The unit uses an XMOS XS1 TQ128 USB decoder, TI PCM1798 D/A converter and TI NE5532 operational amplifier to deliver accurate sound reproduction in a classic SilverStone ensemble exterior.

Advantages

The EB01-E provides improved DAC performance over earlier models with support for high-resolution formats up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Its XMOS USB decoder implements asynchronous data transfer for precise timing, while the TI PCM1798 DAC and NE5532 op amp produce a high-quality analog signal suitable for integration with existing hi-fi systems. Input selection is simplified by a single-touch button for switching between USB, optical and coaxial sources.

Suitable for

• Computer audiophiles seeking improved digital-to-analog conversion
• Home audio setups that require an external DAC with RCA output
• Users with CD players or other digital sources using optical or coaxial outputs
• Small studio or home recording setups needing reliable USB audio input

How to use

Connect the EB01-E to a computer using the USB Type-B port, or connect a CD player or other digital source via Toslink optical or RCA coaxial. Power on the unit and select the active input with the one-touch input button. Connect the RCA analog output to an amplifier or powered speakers. On the computer, choose the EB01-E as the audio output device in the system or audio application settings and set the playback sample rate up to 24-bit/192 kHz if supported by the source files and software.

Recommendations

Use high-quality digital cables (USB, Toslink or coaxial) and shielded RCA cables for analog output to minimize noise. Ensure your playback software and operating system support the desired sample rate and asynchronous USB audio if you require the best timing accuracy.
