Lysformer Elinchrom OCF Diffusion Dome – blød spredningskuppel til OCF-system, model E25110

The Elinchrom OCF Diffusion Dome is a soft diffusion modifier created for the Elinchrom OCF off‑camera flash system. It attaches to OCF heads to soften and spread light, producing even illumination and reducing harsh shadows. Designed for portrait, product and location photography, the diffusion dome helps achieve gentler highlights and smoother skin tones while remaining lightweight and portable for on‑site and studio use.

Advantages

The diffusion dome produces a broad, soft light field that reduces contrast and feathered shadow edges, improving the appearance of skin and textures. Its simple attachment to OCF heads preserves the flash unit's portability and quick setup characteristics. The modifier's construction provides consistent diffusion across the light output, minimizing hot spots and delivering predictable results for both close‑up and moderate distance lighting.

Suitable for

• Portrait photography to soften facial features and reduce skin imperfections
• Product and still‑life photography for even, shadow‑controlled illumination
• On‑location and run‑and‑gun shoots where compact, fast‑deployable modifiers are needed
• Fill light applications to reduce contrast from stronger main lights

Key specifications

• Type: soft diffusion dome compatible with OCF flash heads
• Primary function: soften and spread light, reduce harsh shadows
• Form factor: dome shape providing broad angular coverage
• Weight: lightweight construction for portability
• Use environment: suitable for studio and location photography

How to use

Attach the diffusion dome directly to the OCF head according to the flash manufacturer's attachment method, ensuring a secure fit before powering the unit. Position the diffused light at the required distance and angle relative to the subject to control softness and shadow spread; closer placement increases softness and coverage while moving the dome farther increases directionality. Combine the dome with grids, reflectors or additional modifiers only when compatible with the OCF system to shape the light further.

Recommendations

For portrait work, start with the dome close to the subject and slightly above eye level to create natural catchlights and soft facial modeling. For product shots, use the dome at a moderate distance and adjust exposure to retain detail without introducing glare. When working on location, secure the flash and modifier to a stable stand or use appropriate handheld techniques to avoid accidental detachment.
