Netværkskabel Dexlan 858380 5 m Cat6a S/FTP sort

The Dexlan 858380 5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a shielded Ethernet connection for high-speed data transmission over a 5-meter run. Constructed to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) cabling and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this black cable is intended to maintain signal integrity and reduce electromagnetic interference in wired networks for home and office environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individual foil shielding around each twisted pair, improving protection against near-end crosstalk and external EMI compared with unshielded cables. Cat6a-rated performance supports higher frequencies and reduced alien crosstalk, enabling reliable throughput for Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over shorter distances. The pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors provide plug-and-play compatibility with standard network devices while the 5-meter length offers flexibility for desk-to-switch or equipment-to-wall-plate connections without excess slack.

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports of your network devices until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and place it away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible. For wall-mounted equipment or structured cabling installations, allow some additional slack for strain relief and secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable ties without compressing the outer jacket or shielding.

Recommendations

Use shielded connectors and grounded patch panels when deploying S/FTP cabling in environments with significant EMI to ensure the cable shielding functions effectively. Avoid kinking the cable or exceeding the recommended bend radius; keep connections dry and clean for best signal performance.
