Netværkskabeltester EFB Elektronik 39939.1 Twisted Pair

The EFB Elektronik 39939.1 Twisted Pair network cable tester is a compact instrument for verifying continuity and wiring of twisted pair cables. It provides quick visual feedback through easy-to-read LED indicators to help identify open wires, short circuits, and miswires. Designed for both professional installers and home users, this tester supports common twisted pair cable types and facilitates troubleshooting of network cabling installations.

Advantages

The tester's compact, lightweight construction makes it portable for field work and convenient for storage. Clear LED indication simplifies diagnosis by showing the status of each conductor without requiring specialized training. Battery-powered operation ensures use in locations without mains power, and a rugged housing increases durability during routine handling.

Suitable for

• Verifying continuity and wiring order of Ethernet twisted pair cables (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6)
• Troubleshooting network connection issues in offices and data closets
• Quick field checks during cable installation and maintenance
• Home network setup and verification

Key specifications

• Function: continuity and wiring order testing for twisted pair cables
• Indicators: multiple LEDs for per-conductor status and overall connection
• Power supply: battery-powered for portable use
• Compatibility: supports common twisted pair network cables
• Form factor: compact and lightweight handheld design

How to use

Connect the main unit and remote terminator to the two ends of the cable under test using the appropriate RJ45 or modular connectors. Power the tester using the installed battery and observe the LED sequence to determine continuity and wiring order. Use the LED indications to identify open circuits, shorts, reversed pairs, or split pairs. Remove power and disconnect the cable after testing to conserve battery life.

Recommendations

Use the tester on de-energized low-voltage network cables only; avoid use on live telephone or mains wiring. Replace batteries when LED brightness decreases to maintain reliable readings, and store the unit in a dry environment to prolong service life.
