Netværksswitch DeLOCK 87781 2.5G Ethernet sort

The DeLOCK 87781 is a compact 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet switch with five RJ-45 ports designed to connect and expand wired networks in home and office environments. It supports auto negotiation of link speed and full duplex operation while complying with IEEE 802.3, 802.3ab, 802.3bz, 802.3u and 802.3x standards to ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices and cables.

Advantages

Equipped with NBASE-T technology, the switch can achieve 1 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps over standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, allowing higher throughput without replacing existing cabling. The five 2.5G-capable RJ-45 ports provide straightforward plug-and-play connectivity for multiple devices, and support for full duplex improves simultaneous send/receive performance. The compact black housing is suitable for desktop or small rack placement.

Suitable for

• Connecting multiple wired devices in a small office
• Expanding wired ports for home networks (PCs, NAS, printers)
• Upgrading bandwidth for multimedia streaming and online collaboration
• Using with existing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling to achieve speeds above 1 Gbps

How to use

Place the switch on a stable surface or mount it according to the device instructions. Connect the power adapter, then use standard Ethernet cables to connect devices to the RJ-45 ports. The switch will automatically negotiate the highest supported link speed (100 Mbps, 1 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps) with connected devices. No configuration is required for basic switching functionality.

Recommendations

For best performance at 2.5 Gbps, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cables and ensure connected network devices and NICs support NBASE-T or 2.5G operation. Place the switch in a well-ventilated area and avoid stacking heat-generating equipment on top of it.
