Optisk detektor Hager TG600AL

The Hager TG600AL is a wired optical smoke detector designed for reliable fire detection in residential and commercial environments. The device uses an optical sensing chamber to detect smoke particles and runs on a 3V battery. With a compact diameter of 9.7 cm and a low profile height of 37 mm, the detector is intended for ceiling mounting and integrates into standard wired alarm circuits to provide continuous protection.

Advantages

The optical detection method provides consistent sensitivity to smoldering fires and visible smoke while reducing false alarms from brief cooking fumes. Its wired design supports integration with existing fire alarm systems and central monitoring. The slim housing and modest diameter make the unit discreet on ceilings, and the low-power 3V battery ensures continued operation and backup reliability for situations where primary power is interrupted.

How to use

Install the detector on a ceiling following local electrical and fire-safety regulations and the wiring scheme of your alarm system. Connect the detector to the alarm circuit using the designated terminals and secure the baseplate to the mounting surface. Insert the 3V battery as specified, verify electrical connections, and perform a functional test using the detector's test function or the alarm panel to confirm correct operation. Place detectors away from ventilation outlets, ceiling fans and direct cooking sources to avoid nuisance activations.

Recommendations

Perform routine functional tests at least monthly and replace the battery according to the manufacturer's guidance or when the detector indicates low battery. Clean the detector housing periodically with a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust that can affect sensitivity. Comply with local regulations for spacing and number of detectors to ensure complete coverage of the protected area.
