Parametrisk equalizer Omnitronic 10355522

The Omnitronic 10355522 is a two-channel parametric equalizer designed to provide precise control over audio frequency bands across a wide spectrum from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Built in a compact rack-friendly format (483 mm width, 220 mm depth, 44.5 mm height), this unit fits standard 19-inch installations and small desktop setups alike. It offers adjustable center frequency, bandwidth (Q) and gain for each band, enabling targeted tone shaping for live sound, studio work or installed audio systems.

Advantages

The parametric design allows for surgical frequency adjustments, reducing unwanted resonances and improving clarity without affecting neighboring bands. Dual channels provide independent processing for stereo sources or separate inputs, while the compact enclosure conserves rack space. The extended frequency range covers sub-bass to high treble, giving flexibility for corrective equalization and tonal enhancement. Controls are laid out for intuitive operation and quick recall during setup.

How to use

Connect the equalizer between your mixer or audio source and the amplifier or recording interface using appropriate balanced or unbalanced audio cables. Use the channel inputs and outputs to route stereo or separate mono signals through each channel. Start with flat settings, then sweep the center frequency controls while listening to identify problematic bands; narrow the bandwidth (increase Q) for surgical cuts or widen it for broad tonal shaping. Apply gain adjustments to boost or reduce specific frequencies, and compare processed and bypassed signals to ensure balanced results.

Recommendations

For corrective tasks, use narrow bandwidths and moderate cut amounts to remove feedback or resonance. For tonal enhancement, use wider bandwidths with subtle boosts. Always set levels conservatively and perform final checks at typical listening or performance volumes to prevent over-equalization.
