Passiv infrarød sensor Satel APD-200PET

The APD-200 Pet detector is designed for integration with the ABAX 2 / ABAX two-way wireless security system and is certified to meet EN 50131 Grade 2 requirements. It features a quad pyroelement sensor, an advanced detection algorithm and dynamic temperature compensation for reliable motion detection. The detector includes a PET mode that ignores movement of pets up to 20 kg and supervises system health by reporting malfunctions. Remote configuration and firmware updates are supported, and radio communication within the ABAX 2 system is AES encrypted. The unit is powered by a CR123A 3 V battery with real-time battery status monitoring and low power consumption. An ECO option (ABAX 2 only) can extend operating time up to four times. The LED indicator provides visual feedback in test mode to simplify detector testing.

Advantages

The APD-200 Pet combines multi-element pyro sensing with a refined algorithm and temperature compensation to reduce false alarms and improve detection reliability. PET functionality prevents alarms from pets up to 20 kg. Remote configuration and firmware updates reduce maintenance visits, while AES-encrypted radio ensures secure communication. Real-time battery monitoring, low energy consumption and an ECO option increase service life and reduce maintenance frequency. The LED indicator assists technicians during installation and testing.

How to use

Install the APD-200 Pet according to the ABAX system installation guidelines and mount it at the recommended height and orientation for optimal coverage. Register the detector in the ABAX 2 / ABAX control panel and enable PET mode if pets are present. Use remote configuration to adjust sensitivity and detection parameters as required. Perform functional tests using the LED indicator in test mode to verify coverage and correct operation. Monitor battery status via the system and replace the CR123A 3 V battery when indicated. If using ABAX 2, enable the ECO option to prolong battery life when appropriate.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, place the detector away from heat sources and direct sunlight, avoid aiming it at HVAC vents or moving objects that could cause false alarms, and perform regular system tests. Use genuine CR123A batteries and keep firmware up to date via remote updates provided by the control system.
