Patchkabel Draka Comteq TM31 5 m

The Draka Comteq TM31 5m patch cable is a Cat6a network cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed for standardized Ethernet installations. With a five-meter length and a green jacket, the cable connects network devices such as switches, routers, patch panels and workstations while supporting higher data rates required by modern LAN environments. The construction follows Cat6a performance parameters to reduce crosstalk and maintain signal integrity over the full length.

Advantages

The cable provides Cat6a bandwidth capacity for high-speed data transmission and is terminated with durable RJ-45 plugs for reliable connections. Its 5 m length balances reach and signal quality for typical desktop and rack-to-desk runs. The visible green jacket helps with cable identification and colour-coded cabling schemes. The cable is built to maintain consistent performance in mixed-cable installations and to resist everyday mechanical stress from insertion, removal and light handling.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, printers and IP phones to a local switch or router
• Patch panel to switch connections in small office racks
• Home network runs where a 5 m length is appropriate
• Colour-coded cabling layouts for easy identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 plug on both ends
• Conductor type: twisted-pair copper conductors
• Outer jacket colour: green
• Application: structured cabling for Ethernet up to Cat6a performance

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plugs into the network ports of the devices to be connected until the plug latches click into place. Use the 5 m length to route between wall outlets, switches and end devices, avoiding tight bends and sharp kinks that could damage the internal pairs. When unplugging, depress the latch and pull the plug straight out rather than pulling on the cable jacket. For organized installations, follow your site’s cable management practices to secure the cable and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and maintain standard bend radius recommendations. Use the green colour to implement a consistent colour-coding scheme in patch panels and wall outlets. Verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices to ensure they match the expected Cat6a performance level.
