Patchpanel METZ CONNECT 130A21-00-E 1U

The METZ CONNECT 130A21-00-E 1U patch panel is a rack-mountable panel engineered to organize and terminate network cabling in a compact 19-inch equipment rack. Constructed from durable steel with a white finish, the panel provides stable mounting, clear cable routing and a professional appearance suitable for server rooms, communication closets and small data centers. Its 1U height conserves rack space while offering accessible connections for structured cabling installations.

Advantages

The steel construction delivers mechanical strength and resistance to deformation during installation and daily use. The white finish offers a neutral visual profile that integrates with standard equipment and improves visibility of port labeling. Designed for standard rack compatibility, the panel enables efficient cable management and helps maintain signal organization across multiple connections. The compact 1U size reduces rack footprint while preserving ease of access for patching and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted network cabinets and server racks
• Structured cabling systems in offices and commercial premises
• Home lab or residential networking setups requiring professional cable termination
• Telecommunications and small data center patching panels

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U rack-mount panel compatible with 19-inch racks
• Material: steel housing for mechanical durability
• Finish: white surface treatment for neutral appearance and improved visibility
• Mounting: front-mountable with standard rack screw locations
• Cable management: designed to support organized routing and labeling of network cables

How to use

Install the patch panel in a standard 19-inch rack using the front mounting holes and appropriate rack screws. Terminate copper network cables according to the structured cabling standard you follow (for example T568A or T568B) and ensure consistent color coding across all connections. Secure cable bundles with ties or cable organizers to reduce strain on terminated points and to maintain clear routing paths. Label ports clearly to simplify future changes and troubleshooting.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, maintain proper bend radii for network cables and avoid excessive tension on termination points. Use compatible keystone inserts or modules as required by your cabling scheme and verify connections with a cable tester after installation.
