Rackskinne Rittal 8617.710

The Rittal 8617.710 rack rail is a galvanized steel mounting rail designed for installation in server cabinets and network racks. With a width of 500 mm, depth of 18 mm and height of 39 mm, this rail provides a stable, corrosion-resistant support for equipment and accessories. Supplied as a pack of four pieces with a combined weight of approximately 1.62 kg, the rail set is intended to create reliable horizontal mounting points within a variety of enclosure systems.

Advantages

Galvanized steel construction offers durability and resistance to corrosion while maintaining structural rigidity under load. The standardized 500 mm width and compact depth allow compatibility with common rack layouts and make the rails suitable for both 19-inch and custom enclosures that accept externally mounted rails. The modest height of 39 mm minimizes obstruction inside the cabinet and helps preserve usable mounting space. Supplied as a 4-piece set, the rails simplify installation of multiple mounting levels and provide consistent alignment across the rack.

How to use

Measure and mark the desired mounting positions inside the cabinet or rack to ensure correct alignment with equipment mounting points. Secure the rails to the cabinet frame or mounting posts using appropriate fasteners for the enclosure type, observing load capacity and spacing recommendations from the cabinet manufacturer. Install equipment onto the rails after confirming level and secure attachment; use additional brackets or supports as needed for heavy devices. Verify that cable routing and airflow are not obstructed by the installed rails.

Recommendations

When installing the Rittal rack rail set, use compatible screws and clamps rated for the cabinet profile. Distribute heavy loads across multiple rails and maintain clear airflow paths in the rack. For outdoor or high-humidity environments, confirm that galvanization condition meets site requirements and consider additional protection if necessary.
