Skrue Fischer 670473

Fischer 670473 screw is a stainless steel wood screw engineered for reliable fastening in a variety of timber materials. With an overall length of 280 mm and a thread diameter of 6 mm, this screw offers deep penetration and secure hold. The 70 mm threaded portion provides sufficient engagement in structural and non-structural wood, while the stainless steel construction ensures corrosion resistance for indoor and outdoor applications. The pack contains 50 screws, suitable for larger installations and repair jobs.

Advantages

The stainless steel composition provides long-term corrosion resistance and suitability for damp or exterior environments. A 6 mm thread diameter combined with a 70 mm threaded length delivers strong pull-out resistance and reliable clamping force in softwoods and many hardwoods. The 280 mm overall length enables joining of thick timber elements or creating deep anchor points. Supplied in a 50-piece pack, the set reduces frequent reordering for medium and large projects.

Suitable for

• Timber framing and structural wood connections
• Deck construction and outdoor wooden structures
• Large-scale carpentry and joinery projects
• Renovations and repair of wooden furniture or panels

Key specifications

• Material: stainless steel
• Overall length: 280 mm
• Thread diameter: 6 mm
• Thread length: 70 mm
• Pack quantity: 50 pieces
• Intended application: wood fastening

How to use

Pre-drill a pilot hole appropriate for a 6 mm thread diameter to reduce splitting, especially in hardwoods and near edges. Insert the screw and drive it with the recommended driver bit or power tool at moderate speed to avoid overheating and preserve the stainless steel properties. For exposed outdoor applications, ensure the mating timber surfaces are clean and properly treated to maximize longevity. When joining thick members, check alignment and clamp parts to maintain correct positioning during installation.

Recommendations

Choose a pilot hole diameter and drilling depth based on the wood species and density; in dense hardwoods use a slightly larger pilot hole. For critical structural connections, complement the screws with appropriate washers or adhesive if specified by design requirements. Store screws in a dry place to maintain packaging condition until use.
