Stikdåse type F ShiverPeaks BS83905-1

The ShiverPeaks BS83905-1 socket-outlet is a Type F wall socket with an integrated coaxial connection designed for low signal attenuation. Engineered to provide reliable electrical contact and a secure coaxial feed-through, this single-unit outlet combines mains power access and a coax connector in one compact device. With a measured attenuation of 1 dB on the coaxial path, it supports applications where preserving signal quality is important while maintaining standard Type F power compatibility.

Advantages

This socket-outlet provides both AC power and a coaxial connection in a single plate, reducing wall clutter and installation complexity. The low coaxial attenuation of approximately 1 dB ensures minimal signal loss for television, radio or other RF equipment. Its Type F design meets common regional compatibility for grounded mains sockets and offers stable electrical contact and a compact footprint suitable for residential and professional installations.

Suitable for

• Residential living rooms and bedrooms with combined power and TV/radio connections
• Office spaces requiring a neat outlet for mains and coaxial signal distribution
• Renovation projects where an integrated power and coax wall plate reduces installation points
• Professional AV setups with short-run coax needs and a priority on low signal attenuation

Key specifications

• Socket type: Type F mains outlet with integrated coaxial connector
• Coaxial attenuation: 1 dB (typical)
• Configuration: Single-unit wall plate combining power and coax feed
• Application environment: Indoor use for residential and commercial interiors
• Mounting: Standard wall box installation dimensions for Type F outlets

How to use

Install the outlet into a compatible recessed wall box following local electrical codes and safety standards. Ensure power is switched off at the breaker before any wiring work. Connect the mains live, neutral and earth conductors to the corresponding terminals of the Type F socket and attach the incoming coaxial cable to the coax connector, observing correct polarity and connector type. After mounting the plate securely and restoring power, test both the mains socket and coaxial output for correct operation and signal quality.

Recommendations

For best signal performance on the coaxial connection, use high-quality coax cable and properly fitted connectors. Keep cable runs as short as practical and avoid routing coax cable parallel to mains wiring over long distances to reduce interference. Have installation and electrical connections performed or inspected by a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with local regulations and safe operation.
