Stikkontaktsikring Merten 391819

The Merten 391819 socket safety cover is a removable protective insert designed to reduce the risk of accidental electric contact in domestic sockets. Manufactured from durable thermoplastic in a neutral white finish, the cover fits standard recessed outlets and sits flush with the surrounding faceplate to maintain a discreet appearance while adding a physical barrier against foreign objects and little hands.

Advantages

The cover combines a resilient thermoplastic construction with a precise fit that resists deformation and provides repeated insertion and removal without damage. Its white colour integrates with common wall and outlet finishes. Installation and removal are tool-free and require only gentle push or pull, making it practical for caregivers and homeowners who need a temporary childproofing measure that does not alter the existing socket.

How to use

Align the safety cover with the socket recess and press it firmly into place until it sits flush with the faceplate. To remove, grip the cover and pull straight out with steady force. Do not force the cover at an angle. Regularly inspect the cover for cracks or deformation and replace it if any damage is detected. Keep spare covers available for high-traffic areas or situations that require frequent removal and reinstallation.

Recommendations

Use the safety cover only with compatible recessed domestic sockets. Do not attempt to modify the cover or the socket. Keep the cover away from direct heat sources and avoid exposure to solvents or strong cleaning chemicals. Supervision of young children remains necessary; this cover reduces risk but does not replace adult supervision or other electrical safety measures.
